MODE sponsors trips to visit companies that offer marketing related positions for UTPB graduates (i.e. Target). This opportunity provides students with first‐hand knowledge of the way these companies do business.

MODE has built a relationship with the local chapter of the AAF. We are invited to attend a luncheon where we meet local employers and learn from professional speakers about how to grow in the world or marketing.

Marketing luncheons
MODE holds events aimed at informing students of what real business professionals face in their careers and getting to their current position. Topics include resume writing, interview preparation, and progressing in your career.

101-Sessions
MODE holds “101” events in both the fall and spring semesters to equip students with fundamental understanding of various important roles and skill in marketing.

MODE took a stand against cancer during the month of October. By teaming with the American Cancer Society MODE was able to hold 3 events supporting cancer survivors and creating awareness for students.

Surgeon Lecture
MODE sponsored an event where a cancer surgeon came and spoke about the difficulties faced by cancer patients
and the health ramifications that apply to ignored cancer symptoms.

Detection Event
Experts from the American Cancer Society came and discussed with male and female students in separate rooms
the risk of testicular and breast cancers and explained to them how to detect and prevent them.

Children with Cancer Carnival
MODE raised money to put on a Halloween Carnival for Children who have survived or are currently dealing with various cancers. Events included a haunted house, pumpkin decorating and bean bag toss.
