Public accountants are versatile business monitors and advisors providing a range of accounting activities including auditing, tax services, forensic accounting, consulting, and information technology services.

Management accountants work in family-owned businesses and Fortune 500 companies. They analyze financial information, monitor costs of products and services, provide budgets, perform evaluations, and manage assets. They all fill non-financial positions such as top-level managers and CEOs.

Government accountants
and auditors work at all levels of government. FBI and IRS agents investigate white collar crime and fraud; state and local agents audit expenditures and monitor regulatory compliance.
