Administered by the School of Business, the primary goal of the Industrial Technology program is to give students an understanding of the nature and capabilities of people working in organizations. Industrial Technology is a field of study designed to prepare technical and/or management oriented professionals for employment in business, industry, education, and government. Graduates possess a wide variety of "hands-on" skills, which prepares them for field-oriented tasks in the areas of maintenance and troubleshooting of systems. Industrial Technologists are primarily involved with the management, operation, and maintenance of complex technological systems.
Students pursuing a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Industrial Technology degree receive a broadly based general Industrial Technology education. Broad preparation assists graduates in preparing to meet the diverse challenges of personal as well as professional life.
